A Squirrel Retirement Lesson

I captured a photo of this squirrel tonight in my back yard here in Tulsa, OK.

Squirrels live on acorns for their primary food source. Acorns are not yet in season here. But this fat squirrel is feasting on an acorn he planted last year.

Finding and digging up this future meal required planning, memory and smelling to find where the acorn was buried.

The lesson is to plan for a future where food is scarce. Squirrel some money away for retirement when no income will be available.  Live more than for today but for a future where you will not face starvation.
